Methodology & Citations

Methodology Note: This report is compiled by RoastMyCV Career Experts using a randomized sample of 1,159 resumes submitted by users in India between January 1, 2025, and May 15, 2026. Data is entirely anonymized and aggregated to preserve complete user privacy.

Resume scores are calculated using the RoastMyCV diagnostic engine, which mimics standard parser behaviors found in major modern applicant tracking systems (such as Workday, Taleo, Greenhouse, and Lever). We evaluate exact keyword matching ratios against target job descriptions, section header parsability, date format continuity, contact field extraction accuracy, and syntax readability.
